Len Blavatnik and Warner Music Group announce fund to combat industry racism

05 06 2020

Warner Music Group and Len Blavatnik of the Blavatnik Family Foundation have established a $100m fund to support 'charitable causes related to the music industry, social justice and campaigns against violence and racism'.

The announcement follows the recent #TheShowMustBePaused campaign, which saw companies, artists and organisations within the music industry ceasing operation for 24 hours in the wake of worldwide Black Lives Matter protests, and Steve Cooper, CEO of Warner Music Group, said 'This fund will support the extraordinary, dedicated organisations that are on the front lines of the fight against racism and injustice, and that help those in need across the music industry'.
